The 19th PhD workshop of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FEECS) WOFEX 2021 is going to be held on 1th September 2021. The 19th PhD workshop relates on previous successful years and the main mission is still to enable to exchange experiences among students and supervisors. It is expected a participation of full-time as well as part-time PhD students. The submission of the paper as well as the presentation of the paper is mandatory for full-time students, only full-time students defending their PhD thesis until November 2021 need not to submit the paper. Since we expect the presentation of results of a PhD student, the typical paper will have only one PhD student as a co-author and the supervisor can be a co-author as well (and other persons – non-PhD students). Other variants of authors (more PhD students on one paper and so on) should be discussed with a vice-dean for science and research, FEECS. The papers submitted and accepted at WOFEX are going to publish in e-proceedings with ISBN released before the workshop. A paper has to be written only in the English language and we require the following: the good quality of language, the appropriate format of the paper, good quality of tables and figures, the compliance of well-known rules for writing of scientific texts (including the citation of references). In the opposite case, such a paper will be not accepted at WOFEX. We also require a writing agreement of supervisor that: she/he read the paper, agree with the paper, and an approve that this paper can be published in the proceedings of WOFEX (i.e. it does not include some information of unpublished patents or similar). The range of each paper is maximally 6 pages (see the web page for the template). It can be written in LaTeX or MS Word (doc/docx), in both cases the output PDF file has to be included. The templates of LaTeX and MS Word will be accessible on the web page. The paper (written as a scientific paper) should include: ========================================================== * author/authors, * abstract, * text summarizing results of a PhD student, * publications where the results have been published, * awards and grants of the PhD student. Each submit has to be uploaded to the topic – the department name of the student. The term of the submission is 21th July 201 and the submission is possible only using a submission system accessible on the workshop web page. A few number of the best papers will be selected and the PhD students will be awarded with the dean of the faculty. The selection is done with a committee including guarantors of PhD study fields and the vice dean for research and PhD study of the faculty. After the publication of a workshop program during the beginning of September, some changes are possible to do but only until 5th September. The registration of participants is going to held before the ceremony beginning of the workshop (it can be changed because of the current situation). This ceremony beginning is going to be included mainly the presentation of awarded papers and students.
